Who owns my church's data? +
You always own your data — 100%. On the Pro plan, your data lives on our secure servers but belongs entirely to your church; you can request a full export at any time. On the Advanced plan, data sits on your own server, giving you complete physical control. HopeWorks never sells, shares, or accesses your member data for any purpose.
Can I upgrade from Advanced to Pro (or vice versa) later? +
Yes. You can switch between plans at the start of any new annual cycle. Moving from Advanced to Pro means we take over your hosting and migrate everything to our servers. Moving from Pro to Advanced means we help you set up your own server and transfer all data with a minimal cost based on the hosting your select. Our team handles the migration — no data is lost.
What's the difference in cost between Pro and Advanced? +
Pro is $300/year — all-inclusive with hosting and management. Advanced has a lower annual maintenance fee because you're responsible for your own hosting and domain costs (typically $5–$20/month for hosting + ~$10–15/year for a domain). Advanced is cheaper on our invoice, but your total spend depends on what hosting you choose. We'll explain all costs transparently when you contact us.
What happens if I cancel my plan? +
Your system stays active until the end of your paid year. Before cancellation takes effect, we provide a complete data export in a standard format so you keep everything.
What does the Enterprise custom quote include? +
Enterprise pricing starts with the core system (billed at the same base as Advanced/Pro) plus a one-time $60 fee for each additional module you select — Services Management, Discipleship Tracking, Custom Dashboards, or White-Label Branding. We'll put together a single itemized quote so you know exactly what you're paying for before you commit.
Do I need technical staff for the Advanced or Enterprise plan? +
Having someone comfortable with web hosting helps, but it's not strictly required. HopeWorks handles the system installation and guides you through purchasing hosting and a domain name. Once set up, the day-to-day use of the system requires no technical knowledge at all. We also handle all updates as part of the annual maintenance fee.
